CAN I ENTER THE COMPETITION?

5. Participation in the competition is free of charge (no purchase necessary).

It may also be unsuitable for pregnant women. The Organiser recommends that participants consult a doctor or qualified medical professional before participating to ensure that they are fit, healthy and ready to participate in the competition. The Organiser may require proof of such medical clearance from any participant; and

d) Participants must be prepared for all weather conditions and are responsible for providing their own appropriate clothing, gear and equipment for various extreme weather scenarios (including, but not limited to: waterproof clothing, warm layers, protective and appropriate footwear for hiking and climbing, sunscreen, etc.). This application form, including a video (described in more detail in the application form), must be submitted to the Organiser by 10 March 2026 at the latest. No further submissions will be accepted after this date.

During the submission process, a video must also be attached to the entry form in which the respective participant demonstrates their proficiency in the English language. This is demonstrated by the participant answering three questions in English in the video. The questions to be answered will be communicated to the participant in advance by the Organiser.

18. Only entries that have been answered completely, filled out correctly and submitted will be considered valid entries.

19. If, for any reason, a technical interruption, equipment failure, telephone malfunction, network, server, computer hardware or software failure, page error or mail failure occurs and the competition cannot be conducted as planned, or entries cannot be received or validly submitted, or the prize (as defined below) is disrupted, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition if necessary.

20. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for incomplete entries or entries that are lost, misdirected, damaged or delayed (regardless of the cause), and such entries will not be considered valid. The Organiser will not accept proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of the entry to the competition.

21. Participants (and subsequent "Local Competitors") may not, at any time during the competition, use political slogans or homophobic language, images of an obscene or sexually explicit nature, images featuring competitors' logos and obvious brand advertising, or anything else that may be considered ambush marketing or abuse of the Organiser and/or Jaguar Land Rover Limited. content that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise inappropriate, or that infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively on the Organiser and/or Jaguar Land Rover Limited. Each participant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of this clause will cause significant damage and loss to the Organiser and Jaguar Land Rover Limited.

22. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition if necessary.

FIRST ROUND OF THE COMPETITION

23. A selected group of entrants who have successfully completed the entry form and provided the video will be selected from all valid entries by a panel of experts consisting of specialists in the fields of events and marketing after completion of the application process by 30 April 2026 (the "local competitors").

24. There will be up to 108 (one hundred and eight) Local Competitors. The Local Competitors selected by the jury are final.

25. Local Competitors will be contacted within 14 days by email and/or telephone using the contact details provided in their entry form and asked to confirm: that they accept the invitation to participate in the local selection event; that they meet the eligibility requirements set out in clauses 8 and 9 of these Terms and Conditions; and that they are available to participate in the Global Final (defined in clause 31). If a local competitor is unable to confirm any of the above within 14 (fourteen) days, the Organiser reserves the right to revoke their place in the local selection event and offer it to an alternative participant at its sole discretion.

26. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that the contact details provided on the entry form are correct for notification purposes in accordance with Clause 25.

27. The names and images of local competitors may be published on the Organiser's social media channels at the Organiser's sole discretion.

28. Local competitors must participate in the local selection event on a date to be announced once it has been confirmed in Les Comes (Spain), where they will take part in a series of adventure challenges.

29. Flights, hotel accommodation and meals for local competitors during the local selection event will be arranged and provided by the Organiser and/or the Importer. These services will be selected and made available exclusively by the Organiser or the Importer. The term "Importer" refers to the company that operates in your country in connection with JLR vehicles and that is based in one of the countries listed in section 6 of these T&Cs. This is also the company that has sent you the link to the Participation Form for this event.

Local competitors are not expected to make their own bookings or use their own services, and these will not be reimbursed. Local competitors are expressly not entitled to reimbursement of travel, accommodation or meal costs incurred by themselves. Otherwise, the Organiser and Importer will not cover any other expenses related to the local competitors' participation in the local selection event and the Organiser is not responsible for organising such events

THE GLOBAL FINAL

30. Up to 36 successful local competitors will be selected as finalists by a panel of experts at the local selection event ("Finalists"). The Finalists will be selected at the sole discretion of the panel of experts according to their selection criteria, and this decision is final.

31. Finalists will compete against other finalists from around the world in the global final of the competition in October 2026 at a secret international location to be announced by the Organiser in August 2026 (the "Global Final").

32. The Organiser will divide the Finalists into teams to compete in the Global Final. However, Finalists will be judged on an individual basis and not as a team. Team formation will be at the sole discretion of the Organiser. The Organiser may rearrange team members at any time during the Global Final.

33. Finalists may be disqualified from the Global Finals at any time at the sole discretion of the panel of experts. Disqualified finalists will no longer be eligible to participate in the Global Finals or win the competition.

34. The Organiser will make all necessary accommodation, travel, special clothing, technical equipment and catering/meal arrangements to enable Finalists to participate in the Global Finals and will bear the costs thereof (subject to the Organiser's travel and expense policy).

35. Subject to Clause 34, Finalists are responsible for organising all other items and expenses themselves, including but not limited to: their own visa, passport, vaccinations, travel insurance and all associated costs and expenses. Finalists acknowledge and agree that the Organiser is not responsible for any costs and/or expenses (other than those specified in Clause 34) associated with participating in the Global Final.

WINNERS & THE PRIZE

36. Subject to Clause 33, the winners will be selected from the remaining finalists by a panel of experts at the end of the Global Final on the Closing Date ("the Winners").

37. In accordance with Clause 32, winners will be selected on an individual basis and not as a team. For the avoidance of doubt, some winners may be selected from a team while other team members are not selected as winners.

38. The winners determined by the panel of experts are final and at the sole discretion of the panel.

39. The Winners will be determined at the Global Final and awarded in person. The Winners may also be announced on Jaguar Land Rover Limited's "Defender" channel on YouTube at the sole discretion of Jaguar Land Rover Limited.

40. Each winner will receive the prize. The prize consists of the winners having the opportunity to participate in an expedition in the country where the Global Final takes place, as a team, providing vital assistance for meaningful causes and applying everything they have learned during the competition, in October 2026 ("Prize").

41. There are no alternative prizes, and the prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and non-redeemable for cash. The prize cannot be claimed by a third party on behalf of a winner.

42. If the Organiser subsequently determines that a winner is ineligible or has violated these Terms and Conditions, or if unsportsmanlike or unethical behaviour is suspected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Organiser reserves the right not to award the Prize to that winner and to select another finalist as the winner.

43. If the prize offered is unavailable, cancelled or suspended due to circumstances beyond the Organiser's control, the Organiser cannot offer a replacement and shall not be liable to the winners. Winners are not entitled to a cash value or compensation for any costs or expenses incurred or suffered in connection with claiming the prize.

44. Winners accept that the prize may be cancelled or suspended for any reason beyond the Organiser's control.

45. If a winner is unable to accept the prize for any reason, they must notify the Organiser immediately. In this case, the Organiser reserves the right to offer the prize to another finalist. The Organiser accepts no responsibility if a winner is unable to accept the prize.

46. Winners acknowledge and agree that the Organiser is not responsible for any costs and/or expenses (including, but not limited to, taxes) associated with claiming the prize.

47. In all cases, the Organiser's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

48. During their participation in the prize draw, winners may not use political slogans or homophobic language, images of an obscene or sexually explicit nature, images featuring competitors' logos and obvious brand advertising, or anything else that could be considered ambush marketing or abuse of the Organiser and/or Jaguar Land Rover Limited, content that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise inappropriate, or that infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively on the Organiser and/or Jaguar Land Rover Limited. Each participant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of this clause will cause significant damage and loss to the Organiser and Jaguar Land Rover Limited.

RECORDINGS AND PUBLICITY

49. As a condition of entry into the competition, all participants must participate in promotional photographs and films taken by the Organiser during and after their participation in the competition and prize, and must therefore sign a film release form provided by the Organiser to all participants/local competitors before or during the local selection event. By signing the form, all participants/Local Competitors agree that the Organiser has the right to use all resulting promotional materials in any medium and in any manner the Organiser deems appropriate.

50. All participants must document their experiences during the competition process, beginning at the time they are notified that they have been selected as a Local Competitor until they are eliminated from the competition or, if they are determined to be winners, until the end of the prize. Participants should document their experiences during the competition process through photographs and video recordings, which will be used by the Organiser to promote and showcase the competition in all media worldwide and for an indefinite period of time ("User-Generated Content").

51. In accordance with clause 50 above, participants and winners agree that the Organiser and Jaguar Land Rover Limited shall have the right to retain a worldwide exclusive irrevocable licence to the user-generated content to use it in all media and to authorise its use, including but not limited to websites, social media channels, third-party websites (or parts thereof) under the control of Jaguar Land Rover Limited or its agencies (including, but not limited to, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube), social networks and portals, as well as at events organised by the Organiser, Jaguar Land Rover Limited or their authorised partners and in press releases for an indefinite period.

52. Neither the Organiser, Jaguar Land Rover Limited nor their subsidiaries, agents, officers, authorised dealers, franchisors, sponsors or employees shall be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss or damage incurred by a participant and/or their property in connection with their participation in the competition, in connection with the prize or its use, or if the competition is not conducted as planned.
